- 20 gms ginger paste
- 20 gms garlic paste
- 50 gms curd
- 10 gms garam masala

- Mint leaves (10 gms)
- Salt to taste
Whole Spices
- 1 small cardamom
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 gms shahi jeera
- 1 gm cloves
- 1 gm mace
Other Ingredients
- 50 ml desi ghee
- 100 gms onion (sliced)
- 30 gms red chili powder
- 0.1 gm saffron (soaked in warm milk)
- 50 gms butter
Murgh Biryani Recipe Preparation Steps
1. Marinate Chicken : Wash and pat dry the chicken. Mix it with ginger-garlic paste, curd, garam masala, and salt. Let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
2. Cook Rice : Boil basmati rice in water flavored with mint leaves and salt until partially cooked.
3. Prepare Chicken : Heat desi ghee in a thick-bottomed pan. Add whole spices and sliced onions; cook until golden brown. Add marinated chicken and cook for about five minutes.
4. Layering :In the same pan, layer the partially cooked rice over the chicken mixture. Sprinkle saffron milk on top.
5. Steam Cooking : Cover the pan with a tight lid and cook on low heat until steam escapes from the lid.
6. Serve : Fluff the biryani gently and serve hot with raita or salan.
