Supporters of Shinde stormed the venue, The Unicontinental Mumbai in Khar, ransacking it and filing a police complaint against Kamra. Kamra refused to apologize for his remarks and was summoned by Greater Mumbai Police for questioning.

Following the vandalism, The Habitat Comedy Club announced its temporary closure. The studio expressed shock and worry over the acts of vandalism, reiterating that artists are solely responsible for their views and creative choices. They also apologized for the hurt caused by Kamra’s remarks in the video, clarifying that The Habitat was not involved in the making of the video and does not endorse the views expressed in it.
